| Lawyers In Cyprus The term lawyer is commonly used in Cyprus. However, Cyprus, generally, uses the term Advocate. There are about 700 Law Firms in Cyprus. They are regulated by the Cyprus Bar Association. Some have been trained in the U.K.Often their qualifications have been obtained in Greece. The vast majority of them speak Greek and a substantial number of them speak English as well. The Cypriot Legal System only allows advocacy in the Courts in Greek. All Statutes ( subsequent to about 1969) are published in Greek. |
